On the Friday before the event, we prepared an informal excursion for schools in the vicinity of the airport area in Mošnov, the venue of the NATO Days in Ostrava, during the height of preparations for the weekend show. Domestic and foreign pilots participating in the NATO Days in Ostrava met hundreds of pupils and students at twelve secondary and elementary schools during intensive three-day visits to cities in the Moravian-Silesian region. A series of six talks on the functioning of the non-governmental organization Jagello 2000 and its projects such as NATO Days in Ostrava took place on May 21, 22, 27 and 28, 2022 for students of the first and second years of the Ostrava-Poruba Business Academy as part of the Basics of Social Sciences course . “We learned a lot of interesting things about gripens, tanks, the security policy of the Czech Republic, the Czech army and much more,” the school said on its Facebook page.…

Shortly before the start of the NATO Days in Ostrava, we organized traditional visits and discussions of foreign participants of the show with pupils and students in the Moravian-Silesian Region, and this time also in the Zlín region. Crews from the USA under the auspices of the IC NATO Joint Sky project visited ten schools and one scout club, where there were lively debates, as well as presentations of schools and Czech cities to foreign guests.…
