Get to know NATO (VII.): excursion in Jince

November 24th 2025 | Jince

What does the daily work of an artillery battalion look like, and what equipment do its soldiers use?

Students from Karel Čapek Grammar School in Dobříš had the opportunity to visit the 13th Artillery Battalion and learn about its structure, past missions, current operations, and training. The visit included a demonstration of the battalion’s preparations, a discussion about the equipment, and a close‑up look at vehicles such as the TITUS, Dana, Hilux, and Tatra, as well as infantry weapons and soldiers’ gear.

The visit gave students a detailed insight into how the battalion operates and the everyday work of artillery soldiers.

The “Get to know NATO” project is supported by the PPF Foundation.
