The intention to increase defence spending to up to 5% of GDP has sparked strong reactions. Among the speakers discussing the topic were Lubomír Metnar, Chair of the Defence Committee of the Chamber of Deputies of the Parliament of the Czech Republic, and Jiří Hynek, President of the Defence and Security Industry Association of the Czech Republic.
