Meet NATO 2017

NATO Information Centre organizes another presentation for the students focused on the Czech army and its activities in NATO.

The Meet NATO project aims at presenting the North Atlantic Alliance and activities of its members.
This part is held in Strakonice, at the base of 25th Anti-Aircraft Rocket Regiment. Soldiers will present the base, will debate with participating students and intrduce them to the preparation for deployment in NATO missions. It is prepared for the participants of the Model NATO debate project, which is organized by the Association for International Affairs.


Discussion with high-school students

NATO Information Centre organizes a discussion with high-school students.

Participants from the Archbishop High School from Prague were presented with the activities of the NATO IC, actual security issues, Czech membereship in NATO or relations between NATO and new US government.


European Airshow Council 2017

Mellieha (MT); Mar 2-4, 2017
Jagello 2000 officials again participate as main organizers of the NATO Days in Ostrava at the annual convention of the European Airshow Council.

The convention again takes place in Mellieha, Malta, with 175 delegates from 22 countries attending. Jagello 2000 is the only participant from the Czech Republic. For the first time it presented not only the NATO Days, but also the 21st Tactical Air Force Base Čáslav Open Day. More about the convention can be found here.  


Expert discussion on Czech foreign policy

Liblice; Jan 27-28, 2017
Jagello 2000 co-organizes a closed debate of leading Czech experts on foreign and security policy.

Two-day event is held at the Conference Centre of the Czech Academy of Sciences at the Liblice Chateau. Other co-organizers include Forum 2000 and the Association for Foreign Affairs.

Middle East debate

We organize a debate for representatives of Czech security and foreign policy community, this time with Mr. Petr Štěpánek, former Czech chargé d’affaires in Tehran and Deputy Ambassador in Ankara.

Both countries, Turkey and Iran, are key factors in the future of the Middle East. The main topic of the debate focused on the current situation in the region and foreign policy of the Czech Republic.
