NATO Days Photo Exhibition opens in the U.S.

After being successfully displayed in Brussels, Ramstein and Mons, the "NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days: Our security is not given“ Photo Exhibition is heading to the United States. The display has been opened for viewing at the Barksdale AFB, Louisiana.

Mapping the 10 years of the prestigious international event, the NATO Days photo exhibition was opened on 21 September by Alexandr Vondra, Minister of Defence of the Czech Republic and by Maj.-Gen. Everett Thomas,  Vice Commander Air Force Global Strike Command at the Barksdale Global Power Museum. „Barksdale Air Force Base is our strategic overseas partner,“ says Zbyněk Pavlačík, Jagello 2000 chairman, who was also present at the opening ceremony.  It was the Louisiana Base from where the most attractive aircraft arrived to Ostrava this year – the two B-52 Stratofortress bombers. The planes were the show´s highlights at the Ostrava Leos Janacek Airport, displaying not only in the static park, but also in the dynamic air presentation, for the very first time. 

 

Meeting with the Members of the NATO PA

NATO Information Centre in Prague and CEVRO Institute prepared a public meeting and discussion with the members of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly.

It is organized at the occasion of the Assembly's session in Prague. The meeting is held from 17:30 to 20:30 in NATO Information Centre / CEVRO Institute (Jungmanova 17, Prague). Parlamentarians from NATO member countries (Czech Republic, Germany, United Kingdom, Portugal, etc.) will be attending the meeting, that will be chaired by the head of the Czech delegation to the NATO PA Jan Hamáček.

Lecture about NATO and the Mission in Kosovo

NATO Information Centre in Prague prepared a lecture about activities of the North Atlantic Alliance, its foreign missions and the Czech Republic's involvement in Kosovo.

Lecture for students of High School of Public Law in Prague is held in the premises of the school. The students have an opportunity to obtain brochures and Alliance's DVDs. Lt.-Col. Jana Zechmeisterová, who served in the Kosovo mission, is also attending the lecture.

 

Lecture about NATO and the Mission in Afghanistan

NATO Information Centre in Prague prepared a lecture about activities of the North Atlantic Alliance, its foreign missions and the Czech Republic's involvement in Afghanistan.

Lecture for students of High School of Public Law in Prague is held in the premises of the school. The students have an opportunity to obtain brochures and Alliance's DVDs. Matyáš Zrno, formed head of the civilian branch of the Czech Provincial Reconstruction Team in Afghanistan, is also attending the lecture.

 

IC NATO introduction to Serbian students

NATO Information Centre in Prague will be visited by the group of Serbian students, who are at the study trip in the Czech Republic aimed at presentation of NATO.

They will be informed about the concept of the public diplomacy and the activities of the Information Centre.

This is the fourth edition of the study trip. It is organized by the Serbian NGO International and Security Affairs Centre (ISAC) in cooperation with the NATO Contact Point Embassy in Belgrade.

 

Meet NATO 2012

This year's second part of the series of discussions and presentations for high-school students aimed at introducing the North Atlantic Alliance and the Czech involvement in it will again take place at the Czech Air Force Base in Caslav.

During the one-day event the base will also present itself to the students, including the participation in the NATINEADS system. We invite students of two or three high schools to take part in the project, we would gladly provide more information, if you contact us at info@natoaktual.cz.
