Condolences to the 7th Mechanized Brigade
Ostrava; Oct 14, 2011
We have sent letter of condolence to the 7th Mechanized Brigade, whose member dies of injuries from the ISAF mission in Afghanistan.
Warrant Officer 3rd Class Adrian Werner, member of 7th Mechanized Brigade, has died on Sunday morning in the Olomouc Military Hospital from his heavy injuries taken in Afghanistan. Jagello 2000 Association sent a letter of condolence to Col. J. Kopecký, the Brigade´s commander, under which the 71st Mechanized Battalion belongs. The Battalion significantly participates in organization and execution of the NATO Days in Ostrava.
It is no exaggeration to say that without the 7th Mechanized Brigade, the NATO Days in Ostrava and Czech Air Force Days would not be possible to organize. It is important to bear in mind, however, that this is only a complementary activity for the Armed Forces. Their job is just what they do in Afghanistan, Kosovo and in other missions – i.e. to build and keep security in the Czech Republic as well as abroad. We are thankful for this and pay our deepest respect to the Warrant Officer 3rd Class Adrian Werner for his ultimate sacrifice to this service.

You are invited to our exposition at the IDET fair
Brno; May 10-13, 2011
NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days are again presenting themselves to the visitors of the international exhibition of defence and security technologies IDET.
Event organizers hope that the participation at the fair will increase the awareness about the NATO Days, first of all among foreign visitors to the fair. "IDET exhibition is an important place of meeting of many distinguished guests. So it offers an ideal opportunity to gain new contacts and strenghtening of the old ones," Pavel Boháč from the Jagello 2000 Association, the main organizer of NATO Days in Ostrava & Czech Air Force Days, notes.
Jagello 2000 also participates at the preparations of the exhibition's associated programme. "Private meeting of the organizing staff of the NATO Days takes place in the framework of the exhibition. We believe that we will be able to interpret some of its conclusions. We expect that participants will be more spacific about the form of their presentation," Boháč adds.
Organizers of the fair cooperate with Jagello 2000 also at common propagation. "News and informational portal natoaktual.cz, that is one of the association's projects, is the official media partner of the fair for the third time," Boháč says. It prepared also a special section with up-to-date information from preparations and subsequently from the fair itself.
For the first time, NATO Days in Ostrava presented themselves at IDET in 2007, when the cooperation between Jagello 2000 Association and Trade Fairs Brno Company has begun. In Spring 2008 the parties agreed on the official partnership.
