Jagello 2000 is a institutional partner of the Warsaw Security Forum 2014.

The purpose of the Warsaw Security Forum 2014 is to exchange professional experiences as well as to present solutions to complex regional security challenges confronting the Central and Eastern European region. The two day forum will consist of numerous plenary sessions dedicated to security issues, particularly those related to the future of NATO; the Common Security and Defence Policy of the European Union, including relations with the Russian Federation; energy security; border states of NATO and the European Union; new threats; and security in the economic, military and politic dimensions.

NATO Presentation for Students

NATO Information Centre prepared a debate about NATO for students of Tabor High School.

 The event was held in the premises of the school and IC NATO representative introduced students with basic facts about NATO, its advantages and disadvantages for the Czech Republic as its member, or foreign military missions. 

Informační centrum o NATO připravilo pro studenty dvou tříd táborského Gymnázia Pierra de Coubertina prezentaci a debatu o Severoatlantické alianci.

Akce se uskutečnila v prostorách školy a zástupce IC NATO studenty seznámil studenty se základními údaji o NATO, výhodách a nevýhodách, které vyplývají pro Českou republiku ze členství či zahraničních misích.

The main topic of the debate was the relationship between the North Atlantic Alliance and Russia.

IC NATO prepared an informal discussion for students of the Arch-Bishop High School in Prague about the membership of the Czech Republic in NATO.

The discussion diverged to the topics of perception of security and possibility of citizens to influence defence policy of their country or force deployment to foreign countries.


Conference on the Islamic State

IC NATO cooperates at organizing of an international conference „Current Trends and Future of Global Jihad: Why Should We Fight the Islamic State?“

The conference was organized by the Centre of Transatlantic Relations of the CEVRO Institute and the International Institute for Counter-Terrorism (ICT) of the IDC Herzliya, Israel. Natoaktual.cz and NATO Information Centre in Prague were a media partner of the event.


Meet NATO 2014 in Strakonice

IC NATO organizes another presentation for the students focused on the Czech army and its activities in NATO.

This year's second part will be held in Strakonice, at the base of 25th Anti-Aircraft Rocket Regiment. Soldiers will present the base, will debate with participating students and intrduce them to the preparation for deployment in NATO missions.
