NATO Information Centre is a partner of the fifth edition of the successful educational project.

IC NATO contributed to the preparations of the summer seminars of this traditional project and prepares reports about it.

 

Aliante 2015 Winners Trip

Georgia; Aug 14-25, 2015
Winners of the international student competition Aliante 2015 are visiting military bases and tourist sites all around Georgia.

The most successful participants of the competition focusing on the North Atlantic Alliance and international security, who got through two knowledge based rounds and prevailed in physically challenging finals, earned a trip to Georgia as a reward. There they can see not only tourists sites, but also military bases and places, that are inaccessible for regular tourists.

Public Diplomacy and NATO: the Czech Experience

NATO Information Centre prepared for participants of the international summer school a lecture and a workshop focused on public diplomacy and Czech experience.

More than 30 students attended the prestigious event organized by the Prague Security Studies Institute (PSSI).

 

Seminar on hybrid threats

Jagello 2000 in cooperation with the Representation of the European Comission in Prague and the Faculty of Social Studies of the Masaryk University organizes in Brno an expert seminar about new kind of security threats Hybrid war as a new phenomenon in the security environment. The seminar will be followed by the conference in September.

 

Finals of the Aliante 2015 competition

Kaunas (LT); Jun 28-Jul 3, 2015
The last round of this year's Aliante high-school international competition takes place in Lithuania.

The finals is he held in the city of Kaunas in Lithuania, in Division General Stasys Raštikis Lithuanian Armed Forces School with participation of 28 two-member student teams from Canada, Croatia, Czech Republic, Georgia, Lithuania, Montenegro, Poland, Slovakia, and Turkey. While previous two rounds tested participants' knowledge, the finals focuses not only on physical and psychological strength. It also proves the ability to cooperate on an international level under demanding conditions.

The winners of the competition can look forward to a ten-day-long excursion to Georgia, that will take place in the middle of August.
